There are no longer prophets in the church today because all prophecy is found in the Bible. About 20% prophecy is yet future. I should qualify this somewhat. There is no need for Prophets today that foretell the future. That is no longer required. How do I know this?
This is the gift of Prophecy for today and nowhere in that text do you find predicting future events. What you do find is strengthening, encouraging, and comfort to the body of Christ.
Again, nowhere in this description of a prophet do we find forth telling. Those prophets are long gone as all their prophecies are still contained in the Bible both past and Future. In summary forth telling Prophets are no longer needed today.
