FAITH VS WORKS- 3

Examine the two sections carefully as the one for James supports the RCC system.  Catholics do works because it is part of their religious rituals. When Christ said, It is finished, they don’t take Christ at His word. Mormons and Catholics add to Gods words. By grace ye have been saved by faith, it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast PLUS ALL THAT WE CAN DO. Each likes to say that they keep the Law or at least try to. If you fail at just one, you fail them all. Catholics strongly want to be justified to law. Sorry guys, you Catholics keep tripping over your halos. You, like Peter couldn’t comprehend the gospel that saves, can’t comprehend the two audiences in question here. The Jews followed the law through the times of Christ and the 12. James 2:10 says that can’t be done. Here’s some extra learning graphics for you.

SYSTEM OF LAW. • Perfect law-keeping required (2:13; Gal 3:10) • Salvation by meritorious works (4:1-5) • Allows for boasting (4:2-4) • No forgiveness. • No one can be saved (3:20) SYSTEM OF FAITH. • Active faith required. • Salvation by grace through Christ. • Boasting excluded (3:27) • Forgiveness for imperfections. • Both Jews and Gentiles can be saved. JEL–ROM 3-16.

Obedience for salvation Faith in Christ alone. Lordship salvation Free Grace salvation. Human merit/effort No human effort. Keep Mosaic Law Not under Law. Results: NO SALVATION SALVATION/ ET. LIFE.

Hobart W Freeman 3

There has been much speculation as to where biblical Tarshish is located. Nearly 20 years ago I heard Jack Van Impe suggest that it was Great Britain. Hobart W Freeman of the glory Barn also thought it was Great Britain. But as you can see on the map, Tarshish is located in southern Spain. This is where Jonah wanted to go to flee from the Lord in Jonah 1:3. It had to be in a direct line between Joppa and Tarshish across the Mediterranean Sea. The passage in question which brings all this up is from the prophet Ezekiel chapter 38.

To Jack Van Impe and Hobart W Freeman they speculated that Tarshish was Great Britain and her Young Lions the United States, Canada, and Australia. However, the Hebrew lexicon which defines the Hebrew language suggests that Tarshish is also in southern Spain as our map suggested. Both the Hebrew lexicon and the map geographically place Tarshish in southern Spain. I will take those two sources over that of speculation any day of the week. Of late. David C Pack of the Restored Church of God backs Herbert W Freeman and the worldwide Church of God in their assessment that Tarshish is Great Britain. They have no biblical evidence to support that view. In the end, it all comes down to whether you believe biblical evidence over that of speculation. Which is it to be?

Oops! I spoke too soon again. Just like when I equated the Roman Catholic catechism to Scripture. Another one of my many boo-boos!

Hobart W Freeman 2

North Webster, Indiana saw Herbert W Freeman through a whopping cough epidemic that killed men, women, and even children. Parents went to prison for failure to get medicine for their children. Freeman preached on rigid divine healing that had started to rival that of Christian Science. It was at this point that Freeman ent into severe doctrinal error. Even Dr. Jack Van Impe got caught up into British Imperialism. A key location disputed the claim that Tarshish was Great Britain. The location? In my conclusion I will take up that error that the Restored Church of God is also teaching. Stay tuned.

Hobart W. Freeman 1

Have you ever heard of the Glory Barn in northern Indiana? There you find Freeman and those that followed him. He began in the Faith Movement following the teachings of Kenneth Hagin and Ken Copeland. Later he turned on these ministries and began to preach against them. He established his own course which consisted of healings and miracles. Yet he couldn’t seem to heal himself as he walked with a gimp. His services began with blaring music that lasted for hours. That was his preparation for his preaching ministry. Like all cults, he has a working knowledge of the Bible. The local people had police over there a lot due to the loud music. He is forced to move to various locations. About this time his teachings began to change slightly but not for the better. I will pick up on that in Part 2.
