This is what the Mormons use for baptism for the Dead. Surprisingly this is found in Scripture but not the way the Mormons would like it to be found. Shall We examine 1st Corinthians 15:29?
This is from The Inspired version, supposedly, of Joseph Smith. Shall we examine the personal pronouns here? What shall THEY do? Why are THEY baptized for the Dead? The two “they’s in question are not in the body of Christ. How do I know this? The very next text says, Why do WE stand in Jeopardy every hour? The ” WE here is different from the two previous “they’s”. The THEY’S in question are outside the body of Christ by the way and tense of the pronoun in question. And there you have it! The Mormon practice of baptism for the Dead being done in by pronouns. In the event you did not know the Mormons got in trouble with Israel where they baptized Adolf Hitler for the Dead. What happens is a Mormon member is baptized for the Dead in place of Adolf Hitler but Hitler gets the supposed blessing. Just to let you know how screwy this practice can be, the Mormons also baptized for the Dead Mickey Mouse. True story. But I never heard anything about what they did with Minnie Mouse?
There are two gospels in play here. Peter and his gospel is directed at the Jews according to Galatians 2:7-9. Paul’s gospel comes through the revelation of Jesus Christ to him directly. Where is water baptism found in Paul’s gospel? In fact, where are any of the RCC Sacraments? Yet Paul’s gospel is the one by which ye are saved. When Jesus gave that same gospel to Peter, he rejected it causing Christ to say, Get thee behind me Satan. Pope Francis says that Paul was the greatest missionary ever! And in Acts 9:17-18 guess who is the one that earns priesthood succession? Paul and not Peter. It is a true saying under the gospel of Peter to the Jews. The Catholic epistles- Hebrews thru Revelation- were written to Jewish believers. Who was James written to? James 1:1- The 12 Tribes of Israel! Paul’s gospel is faith plus nothing!
In Part three, I will have some closing thoughts.
Ephesians 4:4 states that there is one baptism for the body of Christ and that is Holy Spirit baptism. Water baptism although beneficial is not necessary for salvation as it is performed by human Administration. If you are a Catholic and your priest is either a child molester or a homosexual what kind of Godly rite would he be performing on you? The holy spirit makes no such mistake. Most Catholics do not understand the ministry of the Apostle Paul. Christ did not send Paul to baptize. Did Paul baptize? On occasion. Human administration of the rite accomplishes nothing. The only baptism you really need is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I wonder when the Catholics will take up the baptism of the Dead since they pray for the Dead? Maybe they should consult the Mormons on that? And they have the audacity to possess holy water for pouring?
Catholics actually baptize babies by pouring water on their head and again without scriptural support for the package. They are ever so good at that. If I were to ask you who would you prefer to be baptized by? A priest or the Triune Godhead?I thought that the blood of Christ forgave all sins? Maybe we should pour away the Catholic answer before they have a chance to purger themselves?Oh, Ephesians 4:4 refers to the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Was the thief on the cross baptized with water? Catholic theology is so messed up because parts of it are found in the Bible, parts of it through tradition, and the rest of it in the Catechism. And they aren’t alone for the Mormons add in the baptism for the dead which I’m surprised the Catholics didn’t grab first! That would have been the perfect add on to purgatory. All these modes are by human administration. Why not expect the perfect baptism by the Triune God instead?
This is the gospel that saves you according to verse 2. Where is baptism in that gospel? It is the gospel by which you are saved- Verse 2.This the saving gospel. Nothing else will do. When Jesus said, IT IS FINISHED, He meant exactly what He said. There is nothing we can do to add to it. Faith is the free gift of God, not of works. One faith that is not of works, sorry Mormons and Catholics, leads us also to one baptism. Who baptized Jesus in water? John the Baptist. Paul could say he was not called to baptize in water but with the Holy Spirit when one believes the gospel. For the one baptism in Ephesians 5:4 is the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Sprinkling is not baptizing. Neither is pouring. If water baptism is Bible based. Of course if you’re a Catholic, the priest is using holy water and a few magical words like Hocus Pocus should outweigh Scripture. Baptism means to dip. Maybe Joe Biden can help us out here. Joe, I know you’re a good Catholic and a Democrat. What is the dip?I don’t like to criticize but next time please ask me a question that requires more of my intelligence. As for the Dip I prefer French onion with my potato chips.
Have Roman Catholics joined Oneness Pentecostals as baptizing in the name of Jesus only? The Catholics use this verse a great deal so are they now administering baptism in the name of Jesus only? Since they prefer clarity is this verse not clear enough for them? I look forward as to how Kent will try to justify this verse.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Who is the THEM That Peter is addressing? JEWS! How are Catholics baptized? In The name of Jesus only? Or in the name of the father son and holy spirit? This Text of Scripture specifically says in the name of Jesus only Just as Oneness Pentecostals Believe. YOU ARE IN ERROR,
After the one baptism of Ephesians 4:4, a great Bible study teacher by the name of Richard Jordan will provide the answer in a video that I have for you here. I think that after you hear Richard Jordan speak you will hear the Holy Spirit directing him to the answer.
Who was Peter’s audience here? Who is the them? Men of Israel and it is often mentioned in Acts 2 so you would have a hard time missing it. Peter was an apostle sent to Israel by Jesus Christ- Matthew 10:3-6 and Acts 11:19. He was not speaking to Gentiles here. We have to remember to keep scripture in its context. And who the intended audience was.
In first Corinthians 1 we learned that the Apostle Paul was not sent to baptize. I believe that the one baptism spoken of in Ephesians 4 is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Water baptism is accomplished through human Administration whereas the baptism of the Holy Spirit is accomplished by the Triune God. Human Administration can make error but the baptism of the spirit by the Triune God is perfect and without flaw. Jesus said this.
Water can extinguish fire with the lone exception of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire. Jeremiah says, is not my word like a fire? Holy Spirit baptism can be the one and only true baptism because it comes from the Triune God. When you are baptized in water a human administrator does this. Some Churches require rebaptism. Other churches have sprinkling usually done on infants and other still have pouring water over you. Mormons even practice the unbiblical baptism of the Dead. Therefore the one and only true baptism is the baptism of the Holy Spirit not accomplished with human hands. I sometimes think about Acts 7 where God says that he does not dwell in temples made with hands or human hands. I prefer the baptism of the Triune God to anything accomplished by human hands. And think about what the Apostle Paul said in 1st Corinthians 1. He was not sent to baptize. Yet he mentions the one baptism in Ephesians 4:4 which has to be the baptism of the Holy Spirit. What other baptism could it be?
