I will pick up on this theme in part 2 of our precious children. I would ask for prayer for children everywhere that they remain safe and secure with loving parents. Oh Lord put a hedge of protection around our children and keep them safe from any and all harm. In Jesus name. Amen!
Have you found your significant other yet? Do you know that the early Israelites had a PG 30 rating on this book called The Song of Solomon? I believe it was due to its suggestive language although flowery and poetic. A junior high teacher in Sunday School wanted to teach this to his students but the Pastor said no. He also knew of the power of the words of this book. In fact if a husband and wife read this book together once per month it would enrich their marriage greatly.
Have you found this precious love? When I found the one I love, I held him and would not let him go. What passionate love!
What can separate us from the love of God? Even so it Remains the Same with husband and wife if the commitment is there in Chr
Here is a reminder from 1st Corinthians 7 14 that an unbelieving spouse can be Sanctified by the believing spouse. Oh the depths of spiritual love! Just make sure of one thing and that is that you don’t use all the verses of the Song of Solomon in describing your spouse. For example, your waist is a Heap of wheat or your nose is like the Tower of Lebanon. Descriptions like that can send you to the couch for the night. But the wonderful versus far outweigh the others even so discernment must be exercised. What wondrous love is this oh my soul.
1st Corinthians 13 gives a great description of what love is. Faith, hope, and love abide, these three, but the greatest of these is love.
The above is an outstanding description of what love is all about. How would you have answered each of those questions? You see, that is the love test. What a great spiritual exercise that would be between you and your significant other. I have often said to husbands that you are to to love your wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it. What Higher Love could you offer your wife than that? Wives are to be submissive to their husbands as to the Lord. I would each of you fare in that regard
In the bedroom you are equal. How often have you heard, not now I have a headache or I was too busy at work tonight? God is an equal opportunity Lord. I will continue this discussion in part 2 when I turn to the book called the song of Solomon.
What exactly can take down a wall? A stick of Dynamite? A sledgehammer? Walls can be breached quite easily so why put enormous amounts of money into a wall? Right now walls are very much the talk of the country. At one time both parties were interested in a wall on our Southern border. At separate times of course. Why bother? It is easy to take down a wall. Look at the wall between East and West Germany and how easy it came down once the effort was made to do so. Did you know that a wall existed, a very formidable wall, that lasted through the entire Old Testament and the Gospels and ended just about the time of Stephen. It was up there in a long time and it was called a wall of partition that separated Jews and Gentiles.
Examine what the Jews had here compared to the Gentiles. The Gentiles were in a sorry state but God had a secret that he had kept within himself from the beginning of time. It was to be released to the Apostle Paul.
When the wall partition came down salvation for both Jews and Gentiles was possible through the blood of Jesus Christ that he shed on the cross for them.
He himself is our peace. I only wish more people knew that and would accept him as their lord and savior. Jesus Christ tore down this wall. Throughout his Earthly Life Time he came to his own and his own rejected him. He sent out his disciples to the Jews only as evidenced in Matthew 10:4-6 and 15:24. His ministry was to the Jews or to the circumcised according to Romans 15:8. Jesus once called a gentile woman a dog and just think what kind of publicity he would have got today off that statement? The me-too movement would have been all over Him. But through his blood shed on the cross he pulled down that middle wall of partition and pulled it down for good. For the good of mankind. He has made Jew and Gentile one in him.
Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
How do you think God views immigration? Do you know that if America spent money to help immigrants get a start in America they might have a chance to escape their personal hell? What if we spent the money that we spend on getting politicians elected to help immigrants? The Bible seems to favor the assistance to immigrants as they are strangers in our land. Perhaps they could move to sparsely populated states? Maybe it’s America spent money on immigration the way they do on the lottery it would not be a problem? I wonder how we would all treat The stranger in the Good Samaritan parable? What does the Lord your God require of you? To do justly, to love Mercy, and to walk humbly with your God from Micah 6:8. Inasmuch as you did to the least of these you did to me.
This is a heartwarming song about a little boy’s desire to purchase a pair of Christmas Shoes for his dying mother. Please enjoy the Christmas shoes.
I have a video for you today about Hillsongs Carl Lentz being interviewed by Oprah Winfrey of all people who’s questions try to say that God is for everyone and not just Christianity. Carl Lentz Again we have a pastor that refers to love in a syrupy way. Jesus is the only way to the father and Oprah Winfrey has been trying to dismantle that thought and scripture for the last 10 years. Carl Lentz believes much the same way Oprah does and that is a red flag all by itself. Jesus would say, serpents, brood of vipers How Can You Escape the condemnation of hell?
There is a Stern warning in Song of Solomon about premarital sex. So strong that it is mentioned three times and there is that mysterious number three again. Thrice mentioned perhaps once by the Father, once by the pre incarnate Jesus Christ, and once by the Holy Spirit. DO NOT stir up or awaken love until it pleases in a god-ordained manner. Keep control over passion. Those that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its lusts and Passions. Did you know the Song of Solomon came with a PG 30 rating? Those in Israel felt this book should not be read until 30 years of age. It is also the second book in the Bible that does not mention God, Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit, the other being Esther. Still it portrays God’s wondrous plan for love if one stays within the boundary lines of indulgence. It is a wondrous story of human love and sexual desire. How well today do we conform to this standard of love? Do not stir up Nor awaken love until it pleases. Sound Advice and why not because it comes from the Lord God Almighty.
