Blind Leadership

The church gives too much authority to the pastor these days. When the preacher preaches most of the sermons are themed based without the backing of scripture. Joel Osteen is the prime example. He carries the Bible and holds it over his head when he says his weekly mantra. But do the words of God hold this pastor up? He would be known as a false teacher. He has Happy Talk, ear tickling messages. Those kinds of messages turn one away from the truth instead of toward it. Preach the word. Be ready in season and out of season. With Joel Osteen the word of God is always out of season. He is a gross example of a compromiser of the word of God just to achieve an audience. How many of his flock will wind up in hell because of Joel Osteen. From whom much is given, much is required.

Bobby Schuller Shows No Discernment

Bobby Schuller shown here with Joel Osteen is starting a downhill trend like his grandfather did. His church is also merging with a Presbyterian Church USA who marries homosexual couples. Where is his discernment? Osteen’s lovey-dovey gospel is from the pit of Hell. No holiness, no repentance, and no salvation. Joel Osteen preaches another Jesus Christ from another spirit and from a different gospel. Is Bobby Schuller heading down the same path? Here is another of Osteen’s dubious friends. Oprah Winfrey doesn’t even believe Jesus is the only way to life eternal. Osteen seems to think the same thing. With his recent decisions I’m beginning to wonder what Bobby Schuller believes? This is Bobby Schuller and Joel Osteen’s sister. Doesn’t Schuller understand what the Osteens stand for? What Fellowship has light with Darkness?

Lakewood Doctrine Duffer

Have you ever noticed Joel Osteen without that trademark smile of his? You can always see him holding his Bible up but rarely opening it to quote a verse. He is not an expository preacher and I doubt if he even knows what that is. He preaches like Dr. Schuller did but remember what happened to him at the end with his Crystal Cathedral. He wound up suing his church at the end. Will the same thing happen to Osteen?

You Cannot Serve God and Money

How does Joel Osteen reconcile his wealth with Matthew 6:24? You cannot serve God and money. Yet, he does anyway! Osteen is not alone at this. There are hundreds of Prosperity preachers out there. Ordinary People support these hucksters. They take their money and run or fly in their high-priced Jets. They are literally laughing all the way to the bank at your expense. According to the Bible a pastor must not be greedy for money. The Prosperity Gospel stays away from the New Testament and uses prosperity verses from the Old Testament. The reason why is simple. The word prosperity is not found even once in the New Testament. What it all boils down to is that the people that support them are biblically illiterate. They have no discernment whatsoever. These pastors that bilk their congregations have a warm place in Hell reserved for them. Since Prosperity preyers love the Old Testament so, hear these words from Zephaniah 1:18. Neither there silver Nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord’s Wrath. And that is the end game for those of the Prosperity Gospel.

God and Money

Benny Hinn is correct when he says that he will remain rich as long as people don’t read the Bible. The prosperity preachers can only find the word prosperity in the Old Testament and it was based on Israel’s obedience to God. The word prosperity is never once found in the New Testament. How can Prosperity preachers justify their behavior when the word prosperity has nothing to do with the body of Christ? These are people destitute of the truth who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. Instead the Bible illiterate withdraw their money to send to these hucksters. Benny Hinn wants his congregation dumb. But he is actually the dumb one because does he think that God is blind to what he is doing? The prosperity pastors have a lot to answer for before Jesus. I can’t believe that the prosperity preachers are so blind to what they are doing unless God has already sent them strong delusion that they should believe the lie. If so that would explain a lot. Still, what about the illiterate congregation? I sometimes think of that in regard to Joel Osteen and his congregation. If the blind lead the blind both fall into a ditch. And believe me, that ditch is going to be plenty full even to overflowing.

John Hagee and Joel Osteen

John Hagee associated with some of the worst pastors such as Benny Hinn and Jesse Duplantis and now Joel Osteen. Hagee has no discernment whatsoever. What he does have is false prophecies such as a blood moonHagee and Osteen these two should be avoided at all cost. They are both part and portion of the Prosperity Gospel. Did they ever hear the words of Jesus? You cannot serve God and money. Enjoy the video.

The New Age Movement- 1

Who is the queen of the New Age movement? She loves to give away cars and you know her as Oprah Winfrey. But one of her escorts will surprise you as he seems to have his hand in everything but Christianity. Yes, Joel Osteen himself. What is he doing promoting the New Age movement? He’s probably courting a huge donation from Oprah Winfrey? How about an initial comparison chart between the New Age movement and Christianity? I will have more in part 2 of this series.

Ministry Salaries

My home Church paid our pastor $50,000 a year. He also received a parsonage as part of his benefit package. Our new pastor wanted more so he rejected the parsonage and bought himself a larger home complete with a bar and that should have told us all something. A few churches don’t pay their Pastor any salary. They work at a secular job and preach on Sunday. The separation of church and state began largely to assist small churches succeed. It was never intended for mega churches. Why? These two” parsonages” belong to Joyce Meyers and Joel Osteen. Are they living anything like their members?Why wouldn’t someone want to be in Ministry with perks like this? It all goes back to Jeremiah 5:30-31. An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land. The prophets prophesy falsely, the priest rule by their own power, and my people love to have it so. Do you see the problem? Those that support the pastor love to have it so. Jesus and his apostles and the Apostle Paul suffered hardship during their life. Jesus had no place to lay his head and remember there was no room for him at the inn. It looks like he might have had a little room for himself at either Joyce Meyers or Joel Osteen’s home. I’m starting to believe the churches should pay their fair share of tax.

Joel’s Father John Osteen

This is John Osteen, Joel Osteen’s father. He was once a Baptist pastor but his congregation asked him to leave because he began teaching the sign gifts. That’s when he started Lakewood church. He was a close personal friend of Kenneth Hagin and was preaching the signs and wonders gifts even before Oral Roberts. Unlike his son he did preach Jesus Christ but he failed to recognize that Jews request a sign from 1st Corinthians 1:22. He wanted the spectacular in his church. By the way did you know that Joel Osteen has no biblical training? If you heard him preach you know what I am talking about. His father was big in the signs and wonders movement. There was enough of Hagins Council that caused the Elder Osteen to err in his theology. Unfortunately both Osteen’s have led many people astray.

A Pastor’s Call to Ministry

The Prophet Elijah Cast his mantle upon Elisha who took over for him after Elijah was taken by a whirlwind into heaven. Today we seem to have generational mantle’s within a Ministry family. There are been three generations of Schuller pastor’s, three generations of Swaggart pastor’s, and other such as John Hagee and son and Fred Price and son plus many more. I thought Ministry was a calling and not a generational gift. Another thing about Ministry involves spiritual gifts. There are those that believe that you can pick any spiritual gift you want but that is not scriptural. The Holy Spirit distributes the gifts according to First Corinthians 12:11. He provides us the gift of his choice and it never mentions multiple gifts. Some believe the gift of tongues is very important to Ministry but it is listed as one of the least gifts. Do all speak with tongues? 1st Corinthians 13 says that tongues will cease. I’m getting back to generational Ministries I would like to see the scripture that cites that argument? God does the calling not the parents of the son. Nowadays it seems that Ministries are a family affair including women which is quite unscriptural. Take Sheila Coleman Schuller for example. She not only took over the Crystal Cathedral for a while but turned it into a Pentecostal service. At that time many left the church. That happens when you do things in an unscriptural manner. Even young Bobby Schuller started off while on its own but now he’s wearing his grandfather’s robe for one service a week and he looks so unnatural in it. But he’s conforming rather than transforming. He’s really not his own Pastor yet as he is still under his grandfather’s shadow which even he says was very different than his theology. That’s like willingly standing under a dark shadow. He should know better. Where is his discernment? Ministry is not a generational issue it is a calling from God. Maybe we should all listen to that?
