Most people don’t think about this very much but did you know that God controls the weather? Yes, we have all those fancy satellites and weather equipment but it is God who moves the weather about the Earth for his pleasure. Nahum 1:3 says that God has his way in the Whirlwind and in the storm. Not the national Weather Service’s way, but his way. I find this passage from Job very interesting. God uses weather for correction. Since the 1960s, abortion has been legalized, homosexual marriage is permitted, murders and violence have increased, and drug use is out of sight. Little Wonder why the United States has seen an increase in tornadoes and hurricanes, not to mention floods due to heavy rainfall. God is trying to get the attention of America. For he also causes the weather to come for his land or for mercy. Maybe America will wake up and see God’s hand in their weather affecting our nation.
Matthew 6 admonishes the Jews that when they fast they should anoint their head and wash their face and appear not to be fasting toward men. Their fast is before the Lord and Him alone.
This text of scripture comes from Peter about homosexuality in the Catholic Church among the priesthood. The NY Times reports 50% of US priests are gay. This has nothing to do with child molestation. Wikipedia has between 30-40% of priests that are gay and supporting the Democratic Party.
The Vatican blames the bishops for loose recruiting methods. The problem is growing.
You just had to ask those Mormon missionaries where Jesus was born didn’t you? And they told you in Jerusalem. But the star is leading to Bethlehem? Little Wonder why we will be about 2 years late.
Johann Sebastian Bach created an organ Prelude called Sleepers Awake which was later turned into a Carol called wake awake for night is flying. The tunes are basically the same but the Carol is mightier than the prelude. Here is only the Carol.
Have you found your significant other yet? Do you know that the early Israelites had a PG 30 rating on this book called The Song of Solomon? I believe it was due to its suggestive language although flowery and poetic. A junior high teacher in Sunday School wanted to teach this to his students but the Pastor said no. He also knew of the power of the words of this book. In fact if a husband and wife read this book together once per month it would enrich their marriage greatly.
Have you found this precious love? When I found the one I love, I held him and would not let him go. What passionate love!
What can separate us from the love of God? Even so it Remains the Same with husband and wife if the commitment is there in Chr
Here is a reminder from 1st Corinthians 7 14 that an unbelieving spouse can be Sanctified by the believing spouse. Oh the depths of spiritual love! Just make sure of one thing and that is that you don’t use all the verses of the Song of Solomon in describing your spouse. For example, your waist is a Heap of wheat or your nose is like the Tower of Lebanon. Descriptions like that can send you to the couch for the night. But the wonderful versus far outweigh the others even so discernment must be exercised. What wondrous love is this oh my soul.
1st Corinthians 13 gives a great description of what love is. Faith, hope, and love abide, these three, but the greatest of these is love.
The above is an outstanding description of what love is all about. How would you have answered each of those questions? You see, that is the love test. What a great spiritual exercise that would be between you and your significant other. I have often said to husbands that you are to to love your wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it. What Higher Love could you offer your wife than that? Wives are to be submissive to their husbands as to the Lord. I would each of you fare in that regard
In the bedroom you are equal. How often have you heard, not now I have a headache or I was too busy at work tonight? God is an equal opportunity Lord. I will continue this discussion in part 2 when I turn to the book called the song of Solomon.
