An ever-growing danger in the church today is experience being elevated over scripture. The word experience in Genesis is divination which is the Pagan parallel of prophecy. It was recorded that Laban learned by experience. Churches like the Bethel Church and IHOP are really into experience. In these churches it seems like the Bible has been retired. The New Apostolic Reformation basically has retired the Bible because it believes in extra biblical revelation. They believe that in 2002 the apostolic office was restored to the church and now they’re New Revelations often times not supported by scripture. The prophecy rate in these churches is 20% accuracy.
What should that say to those that practice experience over scripture? I think the biblical handwriting is on the wall. Should all this come as any surprise to the True Believer? Imposters will grow worse and worse deceiving, and being deceived. The falling away comes first before the man of sin is revealed. This is what is happening to the church today. Very sad.
